Current Role:-

Area In-Charge for EOT Cranes ROT, Hydraulic, and Spare Preparations Ensuring Optimum Availability, Preventive Maintenance, Cost Control, Safety, Up-gradation, Enhancing up Time, Manpower & Material Planning.

Major Responsibilities and achievements are:

Independently leading the team for EOT Cranes, ROT, Hydraulic, Spare Preparations, responsible for Safety, Training & Development of Team Members with best practices. Yearly Health Checkups of Associate and team members, Height Pass, Crane Certification through Third party (DH Patel), Crane Operator Trainings, Gear box oil analysis through RCM, etc.

Accountable for Detailed Design, Engineering and implementation of Mechanical equipments of Crane Area and responsible for procurement of all Buyer scope of Mechanical items. Crane LT Rail Lubricator, Jaw Bit Modification, Differential Gear Box Floating Shaft Coupling Modification, Cable Collecting Box for Slab Yard Tong, LT rail Clamp Modification etc.

Responsible of day to day maintenance and planning activities of Crane Area Equipments, ROT, and Hydraulics with close coordination with Operation and Electrical team.

Accountable for Maximum Equipment Availability of Mechanical Equipments through Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, Inspection & Corrective actions. Prepared maintenance plans/schedules for reducing systems downtime.

Responsible for the maintenance of mainly 320T EAF Bay,260T LF Bay,100T Casting Bay and 35T,85T Slab yard EOT Cranes TCM, ROT, Marking Machine, Dummy Bar, Hydraulics (Main System, Slide Gate, AMLC, HMO, etc and Selected Mechanical and Operational Spares (Wire Ropes, LT and CT Wheels, Gear Boxes, Rope Drum, Brakes, Tong Spares, Pulleys, Rails Consumables, Stopper Rod Mechanism, Hydraulic Cylinders and Valves, ROT Rollers, Regulators, etc).

From 2006 to 2008 Worked in Cranes Area as Senior Engineer.

From 2008 to 2011 as a Shift In Charge

From 2011 to till date worked in EOT Cranes area of SMS.

Supervised the erection, testing and commissioning of EOT Crane for Scale Pit, Six Sigma Green Belt for Reduction of LT wheel consumption in Slab yard Cranes, Cable Collecting Box for Slab Lifting Tong Cranes and Scrap Yard Cranes, Dismantling and reinstallation of the Slab yard Crane Marking Machine, Dummy Bar Entry Guide

Executed Revamping of Equipments during Capital shutdowns – HMO, Shifting Table, Cooling Chamber Structural, Steam Fan revamping, Ladle Turret Cylinder and Rotary joint etc.
