Major projects include:
Dec 2015 Six Sigma project yielding an annual saving of $134,000 and productivity increase of 57% through radical improvement of the Enersense Dpt. through elimination of defect opportunities, reducing non-value added activities, adaption of Poka-Yoke, development of a new quality control plan, along with design and implementation of a one-piece-flow assembly line for the first time at Ostaco.
Oct 2015 Annual saving of $98,000 with increased capacity 12% through implementation of Lean, and SMED to improve the bottle neck activity – Paint Dpt.
Mar 2015 Annual saving of $72,000, 90% increase in productivity, and 400% increase in storage of the Shipping dpt. through design and implementation of new packaging procedure, increase in finished good storage and reduction of waste.
Jan 2015 Annual saving of $68,000, 40% increase in storage and 6% increase in productivity through redesign of the facility layout, to minimize waking distances and better organize the Entry Door dpt. Transportation distances and increase storage capacity of raw material. Project was carefully designed, evaluated, planned and executed in 8 days, and resulted saving of 110 Ft/product in transportation.
Oct 2014 Six sigma project with annual saving of $170,000 with 20% increase in productivity through improvement of the glazing operations, reducing rework by rectifying the cut logic along with purchase of new machinery, eliminating human error and addressing a major service issue.
