Position: Development / Operations Geologist

Conduct regional and local interpretation of 3D Seismic data

Generate geological maps; structural, isopach and isochore maps

Design, plan and execute drillable well plans; anticipate fault crossing and potential overpressure zones

Monitor and coordinate drilling and execution of pilot holes

Geosteer horizontal wells

High level involvement in well planning, survey program design & execution, and BHA selection

Actively participate in prospect generation and operations execution for geosteering horizontal wells.

Manage well placement in unconventional reservoirs including shales and tight sands.

Maintain a minimum 97% in zone for 5000ft + laterals within target zones between 6ft – 12 ft thickness.

Execute pre-job modeling, while also defining and achieving well objective and KPI.

Responsible for communicating with onshore/offshore drilling team to ensure optimum well placement

Monitor real time drilling mechanics data to ensure safe and steady drilling of wellbore

Develop and prepare action/contingency plans for specified uncertainties / risks (changes in dip, fault throw and facies changes), and actively generate forward models.
