• Left BRW to become managing editor for American Bicyclist, a monthly magazine covering the bicycle industry. It was the world’s oldest, continuously published periodical in the industry.
Edited and wrote articles on the sales and marketing of bicycles through independent retailers, concentrating on how-to sales features for independent bicycle retailers, quick takes on new products and technical articles on bicycles, repair, parts and accessories

• Worked for seven years in desktop publishing with RR Donnelley’s (RRD) financial services division. It was a high-paced, time-sensitive typesetting and preproduction environment. The work included typesetting financial documents with a heavy emphasis on tabular financial tables troubleshooting client files and preparing digital files for press, including extensive four-color work
• Hired as Desktop Specialist I, advanced to Desktop Specialist III; promoted to shift lead. When RRD closed its NYC desktop department after 9/11, transferred to Profile Composition (RRD’s proprietary financial typesetting system)
