Project title: Auditory guidance for blind people to recognize the clothing pattern.
Technology: Embedded System and OpenCV library.
Processor: Friendly ARM.
Summary:
Picking clothes with complex patterns and colors is a challenging task for blind people. Due to rotation, scaling, huge intraclass pattern variations; automatic clothing pattern recognition is a challenging research problem. We have matured a camera-based model system that notice clothing patterns in four categories (horizontal, plaid, vertical and patternless) and identifies more than 20 clothing colors. The auditory guidance system integrates a microphone, camera, friendly ARM mini2440 and headphones for audio details of clothing colors and patterns. A camera is used to capture clothes patterns and colors. To notice clothing patterns, we proposed an API (Application Program Interface) to capture the images from camera and use these API to store the captured images. In this project we are used OpenCV library for capturing the images. Thought such a system would support more independence in blind person’s daily life.
B. E. Project
Project title: Low transition bit pattern generation for BIST-based applications.
Technology: VLSI
Summary:
BIST (Built in Self Test) is performed to all the IC’s to check their functionality. But checking patterns will consume more energy and faults may occur so, to reduce Peak power consumption, we are designing a new bit pattern generation unit using cadence tools. New patterns are generated by using Bipartite and Random bit injection methods. By using Bipartite method we reduced N/2 bit transitions and by using another method Random bit injection we reduced N/2 bit transitions. So, totally N/4 transitions are reduced and because of this peak power consumption is also reduced. This project is based on an IEEE paper Published in the year 2008.
