Managerial role with multiple direct reports globally with the responsibility for leading all process improvement initiatives within the Thermal segment of SPX Corporation in order to help the business units improve in terms of profitability globally. The segment is approximately a $ 1.2 billion business with manufacturing plants all over the world. Position reports to the President of the Thermal/Power segment.
Improved productivity by over 50% within a year at Balcke Durr Italiana in Fontignano, Italy by establishing measurement system and shop-floor management & control.
Recovered productivity performance level from high 50’s to low 80’s within 8 weeks in at SPX Cooling Tech in Olathe, KS.
Enhanced safety program in fabrication area of SPX Cooling Tech in Olathe, KS to reduce OSHA recordable by 67%.

Individual contributor role to lead the implementation of Global OpEx initiatives on the back-end of the business utilizing various process improvement methodologies. Took an international expat assignment for over a year at DB Thermal in Nigel, South Africa, an SPX company. Won a Gold Star Award and a Silver Star Award for exceptional achievements.
Created and led an Industrial Engineering department consisting of 5-7 industrial engineers which achieved cost savings of US$ 5M over a 6-month period and cost avoidance totaling over US$ 65M for the lifetime of the project at DB Thermal in Nigel, South Africa.
Led process improvement efforts in SPX Cooling Tech in Brea, CA resulting in material shortage reduction, lower inventory, more buyer capacity, and productivity improvement.

Improved material delivery at SPX Cooling Tech in Olathe, KS resulting in increase of assembly line throughput of 10% which added US$ 8M annually.
Developed a semi-automated cost forecasting tool to enable more accurate prediction on cost escalation of cooling towers based on external commodity forecast data.
Implemented various inventory management and subcontracting processes that led to 5x improvement of material fulfillment to almost 100% within 4 months that essentially turned around the Materials Management organization of DB Thermal in Nigel, South Africa.
