oSupported network and local users. Includes managing accounts and Active Directory. Provisioned a new more secure VPN solution for employees

Associate Systems Admin
Systems integration and software testing analysis for computer control systems utilized in facilitating airport baggage handling.
Configured, and installed Server and Workstation hardware /software and VM environments using Rockwell Factory Talk and other control software as well as proprietary software /database tools to assist in managing conveyors etc.
Documentation of processes and process improvement are also included in successful resolution for the duties in this job.
Support for Baggage Handling control systems – including remote support (desktops /servers)
Renew installation on three tiers of the Toronto Pearson International Airport baggage systems. Each Tier had new server system and desktops with redundancy provided by Marathon MX software. Completed project on time and within budget.

Support included system build, hardware /software troubleshooting and install, network support, and process control.

Lead on malware avoidance and cleaning which improved uptime and reduced tickets related to malware causing issues.
Lead role on a successful new VPN solution rollout.

Document and suggest/implement process improvement in the BHS realm of operation. This includes familiarity with the operation of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and the interface with these and conveyor operation and control via the software installed on the servers and workstations.
Networking understanding and configuration. CISCO TCP/IP switches or routers are used to provide interconnectivity for the BHS systems. I was tasked with suport and configuration of these devices to facilitate install or testing of BHS systems.
Supported local and remote users with a user base of over 2K employees. Support for laptops, desktops, and software, VPN or network connectivity issues. Desktop / Laptop install, configure and troubleshoot.
Virus avoidance and Removal specialist.
Successfully transitioned from Postscript based source file processing from development groups to a PDF based workflow process, reducing 80% of the overtime hours previously required to process these files.
Envisioned and Implemented a PDF forms based workflow for CD/DVD label processing from development centers to provide both consistency/ease of submission and editing.
Learned Six-Sigma/lean process improvements and project management. Trained the campus on using Oracle Tutor Author.
1st employee in the building to achieve a CompTIA A+ Certification
Facilitated capital expenditures for equipment for both the on-demand print and media replication areas. This resulted in a reduction of 40-60% of the reliance on costly outside vendor printing and media production.
Transitioned as a result of having the A+ certification into the new depot repair facility opened on 01/08. Aided in moving this organization from Holland, Ohio to Plymouth then served as both a repair tech and imaging operator.
Learning agility and an ability to translate “Tech-speak” to “user-speak”. This allows me not only to fix the problem but help to avoid recreating it if it is caused by user error. I can do this without offending the user because I can translate technical issues such as Malware installs that come with upgrade downloads like Java into a word stream they can understand.
