Dear Hiring Committee,
I would be grateful for an opportunity to discuss my interest in the position, Human Resources Manager.
My mission is to help people and organizations maximize their potential. My focus on operational excellence and client satisfaction, my uncompromising integrity that fosters a high-level of trust and collaboration, along with strong business acumen has been core to my successful career in Human Resources.
For over 15 years I have successfully supported and managed HR for a variety of clients within my organizations, including: information technology, senior executives, lawyers, faculty, librarians and most recently, the School of Continuing Studies which is a very fast paced competitive (non- academic) business at the University of Toronto which spans a global market. In all my roles I successfully helped develop and drive human resources strategies, plans and projects to support the successful achievement of business goals. As well I have been responsible for managing day to day core operational human resources functions/services, and staff. Throughout my career I have worked closely with all levels of staff to understand business needs and bring effective and efficient advice, infrastructure and service. In my roles as: change leader/ HR consultant/business partner/manager and HR training and development specialist, I have successfully worked on many projects and helped put HR plans in place. In my role as the Director for the Office of the Vice-President of Operations at the University of Toronto (a highly political position at the University), I was directly responsible for managing the development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of quality improvement initiatives, including proactively identifying potential issues and opportunities within a very large portfolio. In reviewing my application I hope you find my skills, experience and education fit well with your needs.
Thank you for your consideration.
Kindest Regards,
