Write CNC programs for small jobs at machine for short runs. When we had larger, more complex detailed jobs we used Esprit for our programming. We manufactured custom machinery, dies, & molds, and automotive parts. Other duties were scheduling, buying, and production management. As production mgr., I implemented process improvement, and overall production flow, from start up to finished product. I was also responsible for teaching customers technicians, on how to maintain & troubleshoot our manufactured machinery. Responsible for all time and production reports. Utilize staff recognition programs to build dedication and enhance morale. Schedule all production with machine flow, and performance. Perform job quotes, prioritize jobs for quoted time, and production process. Insure all quality standards according to print and specs. Also responsible for ISO certifications. JOB DUTIES: Oversee technical support relating to equipment utilized in the manufacturing areas by repairing, maintaining, or modifying production equipment. Utilized technical expertise, as the maintenance manager, using technical manuals, schematic drawings, precision tools, and test equipment. Responsible for administering repair calls to assembly line, and machinery, by diagnosing equipment problems, and scheduling the technicians to perform the necessary repair. Responsible for documenting equipment qualifications and upgrades made to existing machines, including preventative maintenance performed and parts used, to ensure appropriate documentation of repair history in the MP2 maintenance database, while using CMMS, and SOP. Maintained back-up equipment and ensured spare parts were maintained at the required levels, to meet manufacturing equipment needs. Developed and implemented continuous improvement ideas in the PM process and equipment reliability. Responsible for tracking, trending, and correcting PM system performance. Also oversee all issues dealing with technicians, performances, attendance, overall employee relations. Over all outside contracting, and related contracting ( vendor ) issues. *1995- 2002- INTERFLEX LASER ENGRAVERS JOB CLASS:- MAINTENANCE MACHINIST/ SUPERVISOR JOB DUTIES-Inspect incoming printing rolls, to be prioritized for machining, thermal spray, grinding and polishing, and laser engraving. The machining that was performed consisted of turning anilox cylinders with a .0005 T.I.R ., and prepping for thermal spray. Making a jig or fixture to the support of the companies production. Also manufactured new shafts and journals, where we programmed, set-up, and operated (( unless I was able to use an operator)) a Nakamura 5 axis, live tooling turning center, and a Mazak turning center. The thermal spraying that was performed was done in a closed loop environment. Plasma, Arc, and Flame spray are the types of systems used to meet these standards. Along with the set-up and production, I was responsible for all the maintenance to the thermal spray department. Everything consisted from the rebuilding of the thermal spray guns, power supplies, chillers, hoppers, exhaust systems, and traversing units, to maintaining a PM program in that department. Take care of all production scheduling in my 2 departments, also tooling, and buying for the thermal spray, and journal manufacturing departments. I managed and supervised a technician staff of 5, and a general department of 12. Study internal literature to become an expert on products and services.
