Monitoring Vital Signs.
Collection and correction of ABG.
Assist the Doctors for all invasive and non invasive procedures.
Preparation of TPN.
Recording and Reporting.
Health Education to the Patient.
Attending Doctors Rounds.
Education about importance of vaccination.
Preparation of the patient for invasive procedures.
Help Doctors in Diagnosis and treatment
Care of the Client with chemo therapy drugs.
Observe Infection Control Policy and Procedures.
Routine Inventory of Narcotic Drugs and Crash Cart Trolley.
Maintain Input and Output Chart, Daily weight monitoring.
Maintain Good Morale with Multi disciplinary Team Members.
Taking care of patient pre, intra, & post hemodialyis.
Expert handling of hemodilysis equipments.
Provide psychological support.
Assisting Doctors to send surgical specimens & Blood samples for Lab Investigations.
Clinically assessing administering treatment to the patient, monitoring the progress of each patient.
Providing assessment and evaluation of the treatment given, participating in the development of treatment programs and services.
Developing suitable methods to improve the service to the patient.
Coordinating between other health care departments & Liaising with other health care personnel.
Writing reports and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records and statistics, proper segregation of Bio-Hazardous waste.
CLINICAL / PROCEDURAL SKILLS:
Basic life support - adult, pediatric and infant.
Manual handling - basics plus using hoists, slide sheets, banana boards, walking aids and wheel chairs.
Fluid balance and elimination- fluid balance charts, emptying catheters, types of catheters, catheter care.
Aseptic technique, Wounds and dressings -types of wound, causes and what dressing to be used, how to dress the wound.
IV cannulation(Intra – Muscular, Subcutaneous, Intra- Dermal & Intra - Arterial injections, Veni -puncture, IV line care.)
Drugs - administration, dispensing, Blood products administration
Basic jobs - taking temperature, pulse, respirations and manual blood pressure.
Oxygen therapy- giving oxygen, types of masks used.
Emergency assessment.
Personal hygiene - bed bathing, shaving, Nutrition - feeding tubes, NG and manual feeding
Suppositories and enema treatment. Blood glucose monitoring.
Insulin management.
Drain removal preparation.
Pre op Preparation.
Dialysis catheter care (jugular, femoral.)
Traction care.
