Statistical Analysis to optimize operations at the University Foods, WSU Sep2014 - Dec 2014
Used statistical tools such as ANOVA analysis, Hypothesis testing, Regression analysis and Fisher LSD methods to reduce the waiting time at the counters.
Suggested number of counters to operate during the peak hours in the weekdays and weekends. Linear Programming model to optimize parking slot allocation around WSU Sep 2014 - Dec 2014
A mathematical model was built to allocate the parking lots proportional to each type of vehicle using the linear programming.
Three constraints parking space area, parking accumulation and parking duration are considered to formulate the model.
The model was analyzed using the QM for Windows software. Reducing labor cost in a manufacturing Jan 2015 – May 2015 UNDER-GRADUATION PROJECTS:
Completed Industrial training on “A BRIEF STUDY ON POWER ASSEMBLY, PISTONS AND LINERS” at INDIAN RAILWAYS (DIESEL LOCO SHED), Vishakhapatnam. In this project we gone through the basics to maintenance of the engine and few frequent issues and their remedies. Completed project on “THERMAL AND STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF DISK BRAKE” as regular project and an All-terrain vehicle (ATV) with exciting two-wheeler as a project with personal interest with few classmates as it’s not a part of curriculum. SEMINAR ON “CYLINDER DEACTIVATION” which is widely used in automobiles with huge engine Capacities with v6, inline6, w12 engines where few cylinders deactivate in low range according to their firing order.
MASTERS COURSE WORK:
Deterministic Optimization:
Optimization models are used extensively in almost all areas of decision- making, such as engineering design and financial portfolio selection.
SIX SIGMA:
The fundamental objective of the Six Sigma methodology is the implementation of a measurement-based strategy that focuses on process improvement and variation reduction through the application.
Production Systems:
Intended to uncover fundamental laws that govern production systems and utilize them for the purposes of analysis, continuous improvement, and design.
Project Management:
It is an approach to planning and guiding project processes from start to finish. The processes are guided through five stages: initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing.
Digital Automation:
The main use of automation is that it saves labor, energy and materials. It improves quality, accuracy and precision.
Industrial Noise Control:
High noise levels can cause negative effect on productivity of the employee, increase fatigue and shorten attention span at work environment.
Integrated Product Development:
It is based on the integrated design of products, manufacturing and support processes. The design of the product and the process must be integrated to assure a more optimum manufacture and support the product.
