Las Cruces, NM November 2006- Present

I was warehouse supervisor and promoted to warehouse/library/mail supervisor upon the new contract in 2012. I control shipping and receiving of DACDC orders. I maintain a clean and organized warehouse. I supervise 4 clerks: 1 for Library, 1 for Warehouse, & 2 for mail. I order supplies needed for the detention center such as: inmate supplies, officer supplies, office supplies, & cleaning supplies. I also process request from DACDC staff and have my clerk fill the orders that we have available in the warehouse. I keep track of all officer uniforms and make sure they are up to date on their uniforms and re-order when they are due for new uniforms. I keep an inventory of the whole detention center and give a report to Dona Ana County every year. An inventory of the warehouse is given to Dona Ana County Detention Center every month. Library consists of a pick up and delivery every week. Inmates use the kiosk to request books that they would like to read. Request is printed by Friday every week and library clerk will process request. Books are then delivered to inmates by a pre-set weekly schedule. Once books are turned back in I mark them off of the inmates account. Books that are lost or damaged I charge the inmate for the book. Both Library and Warehouse are run off of the ACTFAS system. I fill out paperwork and help the mail with anything they need. I cross train all of my employees so they can fill in for anyone who is out. I ensure that all my employees are getting along well and working as a team. Anytime an employee has a problem with an inmate I have them fill out the proper forms and I take those forms to classification.

When we were short of employees I also assisted on installation of doors and windows. I supervised the entire installation specialist (a total of 4). I Maintained inventory count, Data entry via Microsoft Excel, Worked in shipping and receiving. This company is a multi million dollar company that makes metal products for several different companies. I started in this company as factory assembly line worker and due to my skills I was promoted to Secretary of Inventory. I worked the graveyard shift which is when we brought in a good percentage of our inventory. I logged inventory in, counted it, and entered it into the computer. I also kept track of how much product was being used and entered this on excel. I needed to make sure that everything was logged into the computer before the day shift came in because they started from where I left off.
