Joining the team at Aguilar Group syncs with my knowledge and skills concerning supply chain management. Logistics has been apart of my life for over 10 years now. Time management and efficient use of tools, labor and resources has directly influenced my life outside and inside of employment situations. I enjoy being apart of projects that are completed on time and under budget for the same reason athletes enjoy a win against an opponent. The hard work put in with team members planning a project from A to Z and feeling the satisfaction of a completed project or goal is rewarding.

Communication

I volunteered as safety liaison between corporate home office and our team members. Any new or revised procedure would relay to me and I would study and practice the new procedure. I would then present the new or revised procedure to our team, to ensure they have a clear understanding and physical practice of procedure. Upon becoming Department Supervisor I took it upon myself to update and enhance current procedure manual available to warehouse team members. My insite and attention to detail was not overlooked by corporate and my version of warehouse policy and procedure was used company wide.

Leadership

I was selected a number of terms for Seminole Community College elite “Leadership Challenge Team”. The team ran leadership retreats for staff and students at SCC. The 2003 team was featured on the cover of the “Florida Leader” magazine which highlighted our success stories and philosophy. My team held 4 retreats per fall/spring semester, each retreat averaged 80+ students/staff eager to learn leadership skills.

I was president of "The Film Club" as Seminole Community College for 3 semesters. The film club was fortunate enough to actually work on a local film called "Essence of Ervin". Our team was on the craft service side of the project and a few of us are extras in the film. We had 45 member on paper and averaged 25 to 30 members every weekly meeting.

I held the "Activities Chair" position at SCC's Student Government from Spring 2002 to Spring 2004. My duty was to coordinate weekly events and promote college life on campus. Every Wednesday had an event planned ranging from comedians to musical guest. My shows and events average 100+ students in attendance per show.
