Electronic Technician, General Technology Corp, (On contract w/ Boeing), KAFB, Albuquerque, NM 2/2001-8/2002

Responsibilities include designing, purchasing, installation, and calibration of all required hardware including thermocouples and pressure transducers in the ongoing “Hypersonic Low Temperature Simulator” (HYSIM) laser project. Additional duties include using LabView and Microsoft Office software to compile the resulting experimental data as well as researching the fluid delivery components required for the safe operation on the upcoming “Hypersonic Low Temperature”(HYLTE) laser project. Installed 3 surveillance cameras to monitor both the laser and the fluorine gas cabinet exterior to the lab for a possible fluorine fire during operation. Provide detailed month end reports on progress and projections for the upcoming month fulfilling Boeing’s responsibilities as a government contractor.

Laser Technician, Center for High Technology Materials (CHTM), University of New Mexico 4/1997-1/2000 Worked as a laboratory and research technician primarily focused on high-powered lasers. Duties included research with Nd: YAG, Argon: Ion, and Ti: Sapphire lasers to implement up-conversion and fiber laser operation with rare-earth doped optical fibers. Also involved in clean-room and miscellaneous lab equipment repair and installation.

Electronics Technician, Honeywell Defense Avionics Systems Division, Albuquerque, NM 2/1996-5/1996

Duties include assembly and soldering of CRT F-16 flight control monitors as per Defense Department specifications. Received an award for completion of MIL-STD-2000A requirements. (Contractor)

Addendum to Resume

Experienced with all types of hand tools including electric and pneumatic power tools. I currently own a fairly decent selection of tools, which increases as the need arises. Familiar with the use of multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and oscilloscopes from both Physics and Electrical Engineering lab coursework along with my previous employment. In addition, 2 years of fork lift experience unrelated to my previous employment listed on my resume.

Experienced with designing and assembling most types of unistrut configurations necessary for lab(s) or other types of requirements.

CHTM

While employed at CHTM designed, ordered, and assembled 3 unistrut configurations for each optical table in each of our 3 labs to mount all required diagnostic equipment and pneumatic gas lines for the experiments listed on my resume.

On one occasion, disassembled, cleaned, and repaired two lab IR viewers to operate and improve visibility. Installed all necessary pneumatic plumbing in 3 labs to float 3 Newport optical tables, 3 nitrogen gas lines for optical cleaning, and one dry air cabinet for storing optical fibers.

Boeing

While employed at Boeing designed, ordered, and assembled the unistrut trellis configuration, which fastened all necessary gas lines for the laser(s) listed on the attached resume.

In addition, designed, ordered, and assembled several unistrut configurations including an assembly to cover an exterior gas cabinet to protect from the elements.

Experience with interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical circuit diagrams?

Prior to pursuing my degree in Physics/Electrical Engineering I took several classes in drafting which included Advanced Descriptive Geometry and AutoCAD. My previous employment includes structural steel detailing at J.Jackson and Co. and concrete reinforcing detailing at both Hausman steel and Hydro-Conduit Corp.. Both positions required knowledge of reading and interpreting design drawings for each particular job prior to providing the essential details. While attending Electrical Engineering at UNM my class and lab assignments consisted entirely of circuit problems and analysis up to and including my senior year.
