Over 25 years of experience in the information technology field in various positions contracting to the Department Of Justice Antitrust, Civil, Environmental and State Department. Experience ranges from supporting mainframe to network and PC systems.

Job Assignments

May 1995 – January 2013: Associate System Engineer, Serco, Inc. Starting position as a Help Desk Analyst May 1995-1998 and was promoted to Associate Network Administrator in 1998-2004 and then promoted to a Associate System Engineer 2006 January 31, 2013 with contractor Serco, Inc & BAE supporting the Department Of Justice Antitrust Division. As part of the Network Operations staff member my responsibilities includes the following; Experience included Active Directory in Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, Windows Exchange 5.5 2003 servers. This includes server builds from scratch and setup requirements as need to meet the security requirements for the ATR Network. Installation of Norton Internet Security, Norton Endpoint and Encryption software, Netbackup agent for backups, ODBC configuration, service accounts setup for applications, application installations and joining the servers to the domain once a Q/A is done and approved.

Other server OS experience with are Novell NetWare server 3.1-4.0, Windows NT411, to which I was involved in the migration upgrade to the above Microsoft servers as noted. Involvement of the the migration process included testing setup of servers for quality of the user’s data, applications and configuration for new applications as needed. Experience working with the following server hardware of Compaq and HP Servers of models 1600, 2000, 3000, 370 and 570ML models. Setting up and attachment of array drive units as well.

Experience includes various Raid configurations with various SCSI cards for proper operation. Server setup also includes hardware firmware updates, Security patches to the operating system of the servers and hardwared devices attached. for the computer outage periods and Q/A the servers after the upates were performed to ensure the user’s of ATR can continue working.

Experience in working with SCCM, MOM, SCOM, SMS, SMTP, HTTP, FTP,TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP installation, setup and configuration, Control panel. Also commands usage of HOSTNAME, IPCONFIG, NBSTAT, NET, NETSH, NETSTAT, NSLOOKUP, PING, ROUTE, TRACERT, MMC, MSCONFIG, Disk Quota to name a few.

Expereience with Active Directory, Configuration Console, Computer management, Server manager, System, ODBC, DFF, DHCP, DNS Event viewer, File server resource manager, Local Security Policy, Load Balancing, Network Policy Server, Remote Desktop, Routing and remote access, Security Configuration, Services, NFS Services for Network File system, System configuration, Task scheduler, System resources manager and Windows Firewall to name a few. Also usage of Adding roles and configuration setup of Windows 2008 server, plus security. Experience with the setup users accounts on the Windows servers 2000, 2003 and 2008 and applied group policy to each as required for the needs of the users working position. This includes setup of permissions groups for the system applications, data and user personal drive assignments. Creation special policies for none ATR employees and ATR employees that include local and global groups. The same applies to application installation and those service accounts that were setup for the proper function and access via the user. This also applies to Exchange server accounts as well. Setup of User mailboxes, Case mailbox and Calendars mailbox creations and setup access to these accounts for the user’s access and monitored usage of the accounts. Plus Tracking mail (internal and external ) of the user and provided trouble shooting to ensure the flow of communication continues ok. Monitored and trouble shooting exchange servers issues and provided resolutions. Usage of EXMERGE utility from Microsoft for Exchange mailbox and moving accounts on Exchange servers. Responsible for achieving backups of VIP staff of the Gov’t Exchange mailbox account on backups. Experience on BlackBerry services setting up accounts and monitored the mail flow Internal and External for the user and provided trouble shooting of issues as they arised on the server affecting the flow of mail and communications between the user’s and their internal mail accounts on Exchange servers.

Experience with setup of Printer server’s on the servers as well a printer server devices and installation of the printer drivers and setup group policies for access to the printers to the user community as needed via their sections of working. This included multifunction printers and plotters with their attachment devices as well. The printer types of Xerox, Richco, and Cannon. Experience with various Software installation to the servers for the user’s needs to perform their work.

Experience includes also installation and setup of UPS, ILO for the ATR network needs. Experience with Trouble shooting servers with their functional setup and provided resolutions to their problems as encountered. This includes internal and external communication issues with the CISCO routers or the outside JUTNET communication system that ATR uses. Reported problems and document the problem and resolution as needed.. This also includes ordering and 3

replacement of devices as they fail. Such as bad drives, UPS, SCSI card, Raid controllers, Mother boards, minihubs, media convertors, etc. etc.. Experience with Setup and installation of backup software and Tape drives for backups using software of Legato 4.0, Backup exec 7.3 thru 8.6 plus Netbackup 5.0mp5 and 6.5ver. with NETAPP Filer hardware model F220 and F320. Configuration of Scalar 100 and I500 SDLT Tape drive units. Setup up backup job policies for servers. Setup of SNC card configuration for NAS filers for control needs of drives that performed backups via Netbackup software (NDMP). The backups were performed on the Windows server including the Exchange and the SQL servers. Provided reports of the status on a daily basic Experience with NETAPP NAS Filers in the setup and creations of volumes on the file server system and applying service account and user groups access . This also includes setup of snapshots on the filers for faster restores of user data versus tape restores. Monitored daily and involved in the upgrading of the systems due to the user community ever growing data storage needs. Trouble shooting file server as well and maintenance as needed. Experience included travel to various govt sites setting up Trial server and equipment for ATR where they work in the same computer system as they do in their office sites. Experience with Citrix user account creation of Terminal Server ID setup and trouble shooting user connections to these terminal servers and the user’s id.. Experience in the installation and setup of desktop operating systems of Windows 3.1, Windows for Workgroup 3.1, Windows95 98, ME, NT 2000, Windows XP PRO, Windows 7 and Windows 8. Provided Support and configuration setup of each desktop operating system as mentioned above and trouble shooting with the applications and interface to the network as needed. Plus application installation to desktops and trouble shooting encounter by users. Experience with Notebook (labtop) OS installation and security setup Norton Endpoint encryption on devices.

Experience with creation of Imanage user accounts ver. 8.0 and setup of pubic, private and special group access for documents and apply security to the same as well for individual users or group of user’s. This includes access SQL server databases and testing setup to ensure the user can access SQL server database information ok.

Experience in Remedy (user trouble shooting request from the helpdesk) and assisted in trouble shooting end user’s issue as they arise.

Assisted Engineering staff (that installed and setup the routers on the ATR domain) in trouble shooting of network connections on CISCO 2500, 2900, 5500 and 6500 routers and switches on ATR network. This includes cable testing of the port connections from user offices to the computer rooms and the servers and communication devices of the ATR Network. Also handles the updates of the Travel Manager database for FMIS sw on the ATR network servers.
