Was selected as one of 25 future leaders to be in this academy. The purpose of this academy was to assure that AISD has future leaders who are trained and ready to assume roles in campus level leadership WEBB ELEMENTARY, ARL INGTON I SD 2 0 1 3 - CURRENT Joined Webb as a 5th grade science teacher. I also served as a summer administrative intern under Mrs. Raquel Leiker in the summer of 2013. During this time, I have helped review, implement, and re-evaluate data based on the needs of the students. As a team, we meet once to twice a week to review data and determine small groupings and interventions that need to occur.

JOHNS ELEMENTARY, ARL INGTON I SD 2 00 6 - 2 0 1 2 Served as Special Education Department Team Leader from 2009-2012. With this role, I relayed all pertinent information from the district to faculty and staff on campus. I scheduled and lead all departmental meetings. I also scheduled all student meetings. I served as administrative intern during the 2010-2011 year. I also served as an administrative assistant during summer term 2011. I also coordinated a pilot program and campus wide implementation of Successmaker math and reading programs. As the team leader and teacher, I helped evaluate student needs, write goals based on assessment, monitor progress and re-evaluate, and re-write goals based on the progress of the student.

Served as a teacher in a Pre-School Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD). I was the only special education teacher at this school, therefore I scheduled all parent meetings, maintained all student records, and communicated and relayed information from the district to the building staff. I also served as the supervisor for three paraprofessionals.

VENUS PRIMARY SCHOOL / VENUS HIGH SCHOOL, VENUS I SD 2 00 2 - 2 00 4 Served as a full time paraprofessional in special education. I was responsible for assisting special education students attend regular education classes, arrive and depart in a timely manner, and served as a Special Olympics head coach. EDUCAT ION

I have served in many levels of leadership in and out of education. In my first career I served as a Assistant Manager of a Major Medical Research Facility in my first post college career. Since becoming an educator, I have served as a departmental team leader, completed an internship as an administrator, was asked to serve as a administrative assistant, serve as a technology trainer for my school, and perform administrative roles as needed. Through these many leadership opportunities, I have became a strong organizer, mentor, manager, teacher, and leader. Every opportunity has taught me more about myself and more of what it become to be a great leader. I am a life long learner and will always take every opportunity to become an even better leader.
