BUSINESS SKILLS
Sales: Extensive experience with selling tangibles (i.e. capital equipment) and intangibles (i.e. financial products and services). Developed an effective consultative sales technique with a polished, professional demeanor. Provided sales training to provide associates with a proven methodology for closing contractual sales.
Relationship Management: Coupled with sales skills this is the key to success in the brokerage industry. The long -term maintenance of business relationships is fundamental to growing a service oriented business. I maintained client / broker relationships far longer than than the average (Many relationships continued more than 15 years). This made for a very profitable association for all parties.
Sales Management: This skillset includes both the administration of a sales development effort and the day-to-day responsibilities of operating a successful, local sales organization. Organized and administered an ongoing Continuing Education program for producers. This program was successful in retaining producers and keeping their licensing current. This methodology was superior to other forms of continuing education in that it provided for interaction with representatives of various carriers.
Business Analytics: The pursuit of perfection driven by the continuous iterative investigation of business performance. This provides for a statistical approach to balance sheet management. My knowledge in this area was greatly enhanced by exposure to the Six Sigma philosophy and discipline. The Six Sigma perspective provides quantifiable results and returns through responsive process improvement. The benefits of a lower cost coefficient per transaction delivers directly to the bottom line and helps establish the firms competitive position.
Mentoring: Providing guidance and encouragement to neophyte sales producers. Aiding the the newest of sales producers results in a higher ROI from the training / licensing expenses. Additionally, it contributed to higher success rates among trainees and first-year hires.
Finance: Thorough understanding of capital sourcing. This skill set can provide for a lower cost of capital and optimize the utility of varied sources.
Needs Analytics. This approach addresses analyzing operations with regard to prioritizing each units requirements to operate at optimal efficiencies. Also, may enhance planning and forecasting resulting in a positive impact on EBITDA.
Skilled in Securities Analytics.
Treasury Management:
Strategic Allocation. Traditional treasury management, utilizing highest quality financial assets.
Tactical Allocation. These techniques are best utilized in situations where a substantial portion of the assets are of a highly liquid nature. Higher total returns are anticipated when practicing the more pro-active approach of tactical allocation.
Core - Satellite Allocation. This is the logical outgrowth of the above cited approaches. It is a blend or hybrid approach. Applicable when and where the Investment Guideline document allows.
