PROFILE

Network Engineer
Responsible for the care and upkeep of the Martin Army Community Hospital MEDDAC information systems at Ft. Benning, GA. and its network infrastructure. The infrastructure has included Nortel 8600, 8300, 5500 series switches, Brocade XMR, XML and ICX series switches. Brocade SAN switch with Dell Compellent storage and Dell M1000 Blade servers. Trapeze and Aruba Networks wireless controllers and AP’s, Air Fortress security devices, MRV terminal servers, Juniper SA-4000 VPN and SSG routers, APC UPS power backup, SM and MM Fiber Optics, Palo Alto internet filter, Windows Server OS and Cisco Firewall solutions.
Other responsibilities include deployment and troubleshooting of desktop, laptop and printer issues. Most workstations and Laptops supported are Lenovo, Fujitsu and Dell loaded with Windows OS. Printers include Xerox, Konica, HP, Ricoh and Lexmark.

Hired as a sub-contractor working at the Martin Army Community Hospital, Ft. Benning, Ga.
At this position, I was responsible for day-to-day routine maintenance of the hospitals LAN and WLAN it's connected buildings. The maintenance includes documentation and updating of the existing infrastructure. Assigned the task of migrating, configuring and troubleshooting the existing wireless LAN available to users. Involved in the installation of Nortel switches, APC power backup, Trapeze wireless systems, Air Fortress Secure Gateways and MaPS management server, Cat 6 upgrades, SM and MM Fiber Optics and general security.
