My duties included manually numbering the specimen, then centrifuging the blood while entering patient information and test orders into our computer system to generate accession barcode recognized by the analyzer. Then I poured the specimen into separate tubes to be analyzed by the machines. I also prepared microbiology specimens by looping urine or swab collections onto agar plates to be incubated until it was ready to be analyzed by the microbiologist. On occasion I would run CBCs and set up A1Cs and sed rates for the laboratory technicians to read.

X-ray Technician, medical assistant, lab manager and back office manager - Produced and developed diagnostic quality x-rays. Venipuncture, capillary puncture, injections, treadmill stress study setup, vital signs, sprirometry flow, ABI Doppler scanner and bladder scanner. I would organize patient flow efficiently between 2 doctors and up to 4 medical assistants. I was in charge of all laboratory specimens and reports.
