Installed, configured Group Policy Editor to create and link GPOs and edit them when necessary. Key outcomes included instructing client computers of the location of the WSUS server to be contacted for security updates; enabling/starting services required to remotely manage client computers, disabling non-essential services that could create security vulnerabilities or avoiding simple unnecessary use of local machine resources; and managing application and port exceptions on local Windows Firewall on a departmental basis.
