To whom it may concern March 12th, 2012
This is to inform you that Patrick Mctaggart served as an intern at St. Vincent De Pauls
During May 2009 - June 2012, while he was a student at San Diego City College. He worked with our staff to rehabilitate the homeless and the elderly in the San Diego area.
He participated in most activities associated with the project: writing solicitation, and newsletters for the residents and staff. Patrick was a conscientious worker. He was prompt and very meticulous. If we had the money in our budget, we would have offered Patrick a permanent position.
Sincerely yours. Louisa Stark

LIBRARIES: You need to be able to use a computer, to learn where the meals, food pantries, shelters, and other things are, and all libraries will help teach you. Applying for jobs is also done by computers nowadays. The Library Homeless Prevention Law disallows any bedding, blankets, or other cargo (except one small bag) in libraries, so find somebody to guard your stuff. The library computers will let you watch TV, movies, DVDs, which the library has. All libraries have toilets and water, and the Downtown Library, on the northeast corner of Petco Park complex, has toilets on all floors except the ground floor.
RESOURCES: Our website at www.NZ9F.com has icons on Home Page that you can click on to learn all about the nonprofit org, meetings, news, and even college courses in homelessness. This website is Owned and operated by the San Diego Homeless, and lists and lists such things as downtown toilets, farmers markets, and credit unions, too.
RADIO: The San Diego poor, homeless, and activist have our radio station at 89.1 FM, KNSJ.
SOCIAL WORKER: Third Ave. Charitable Org. (TACO) at 3rd and Ash, second floor of First Lutheran Church. Help services are paid for by certain wealthy San Diegans, not the government.
OTHER HELP: by e-mail, ****@*******.***
EBT-SNAP: Be sure to get your $200 every month. Talk to any intake or Social Worker.
EITC CHECKS: File a form 1040-EZ to get an EITC check, even if you did not work and earned no money. Many agencies help you file free, so DO NOT be a sucker and pay money for that. On-line, go to www. IRS. Gov. If you file by mail yourself, you can leave the whole the whole return blank except your name, address, signature, and you need to write “SSI” on the income line and “EITC” on that line. IRS will figure it out. Be sure to tell them your bank Routing Code and Account Number, found on your deposit slips, bottom.
SSI BENEFITS: Everyone qualifies unless you get Unemployment Checks, which is more money, or have over $2,000 in the bank. $965 a month, which includes your EBT-SNAP money, and they want some story about alcohol, drug, or mental illness, to avoid admitting that Economic Recession is the real cause.
RECYCLING: Cash in bottles and cans at 25th & Imperial trolley stop on the Orange Line,
EX-MILITARY: Many new programs every month, so frequently check what new benefits you qualify for. The Homeless-Owned Website list vets things at www.NZ9F.com/vets.
OTHER RESOURCES:
FOOD: The homeless-owned website lists food meals at www.NZ9F.com/F.
HEALTHCARE: You can now get health-care anywhere, including from a rich doctor in La Jolla. No need to stand in line for hours to use a filthy clinic designed for poor folks. You now have Medi-Cal, but the State wants to know which insurance company you want. Most doctors are quacks, but find a good one and what insurance they accept. And tell the State. On-Line, go to www.Covered CA.com.
SHELTERS: The winter tent shelters close March 31, because the greedy bastards who run San Diego have enough money for golf courses and stadiums, but could give a damn about could give a damn about about human life unless they can make money on it. Hotel vouchers are also available, phone “211” toll-free, or www.ccdsd.org. Many shelters are listed at www.NZ9F.com_Index.
