GE Oil & Gas – Transfer of Work (TOW) Engineer, Salt Lake City, UT, September 2014 - April 2015

Assisted in Transferring work from ERPLX to SAP system

Saved 2 months of work by cleaning up more than 100 excel documents to efficiently transfer the data from ERPLX to SAP.

Created and updated more than 400 fully mounted assembly drawings in SolidWorks to speed up the production process.

Assisted Senior Engineers with new designs for pipeline inspection tools, Performed tests for the new or existing designed parts and wrote reports on procedures and experiments.

Designed and performed experiments on printed circuit boards to secure them from shock and vibrations during the run, helping the company to have accurate and complete data on the inspection runs.

Helped the company introduce its first hydrogen line inspection tool by designing the Purge system for the Hydrogen Tool to avoid the effect of oxygen in a hydrogen line. The purge system was designed and assembled within 2 weeks to meet with 50 % of the budget.

Formula SAE Car – Salt lake City, UT, May 2013- May 2014

Designed and manufactured pedal assembly within the budget and 40% lighter compared to previous year’s Assembly.

Reduced cost by 30% through designing many modular parts between gas pedal and brake pedal assembly that was affordable and quicker to manufacture.

Helped in Designing and manufacturing of the carbon fiber chassis from scratch. Overall Weight of the chassis was reduced by 39% from previous years’ Chassis.

Mars Colonization Competition – Salt Lake City, UT, January 2013-April 2013

Designed and Manufactured Robot that would be able to go on uneven terrain and pick up magnetic rocks with the wireless controller from different room.

Was responsible for leading the robot’s design and keeping the team on track and assigning tasks to team member. Completed the robot within the timeline and ended up with 3rd position between 12 teams.

Mars Rover Prototype – NCAS - NASA Houston, TX, May 2011

Was one of the two students chosen to represent the state of Utah to meet 50 selected students from the entire nation to work on a Mars Rover Project at NASA through NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS).

Designed and built a Mars rover prototype for NASA competition under required budget and given timeline. Was chosen to lead the team of 12 students and won 1st position in the competition.
