Senior Vice President, Global Storage Transformation Program Manager
Led Bank of America Storage Transformation Program supporting a program team of over 200 team members, annual budget in excess of $30 million, 93 Petabytes of storage in a server environment containing over 100,000 servers. Transformed or migrated over 68,000 SAN / NAS server connections from over 450 storage devices across 10 separate lines of business. The program generated $100 million in net annualized savings over 3 years. Included HPUX, Linux, AIX, Windows, Centera, Clarrion, Netapp, Symmetrix, Deduplication, Thin Provisioning, and Auto-tiering technologies.
Bank of America, Charlotte, NC 2008 – 2011
Senior Vice President, Global Data Center Program
Managed an annual budget of $30 million and a team of 45 technical project managers responsible for the execution of the Global Data Center Strategy. Directed the assessment, funding, coordination with 10 separate lines of business, risk mitigation, and movement of 14 Bank of America data centers in the three years I managed the program. Included migration/build out of F5, Resonate, DNS, NIS, Vintela, Windows, Linux, AIX, HPUX, Oracle, IP Network, and DMZ Infrastructure. Also worked closely with change management, vendor management, and data replication teams to complete the migrations.

Provided metrics and status updates to executive management.
Developed departmental level strategy and plans.
Developed policies, procedures, and controls.
Created and refined models needed to support Bank of America’s Global Data Center Transformational initiatives.

Vice President, Senior Technical Program Manager
Managed Infrastructure Program - Managed the infrastructure program supporting the trading business at Bank of America. Projects included remediation of not permitted technology, installation of new technologies, and risk mitigation projects associated with environment stability.
Network Appliance Consolidation – Managed effort to consolidate 40 NAS devices from legacy 7xx series devices to current technology. The migration effort involved moving data from older model filers, coordination of outage windows for hundreds of customer facing applications. Managing a team of 50 matrixed project team members. The overall impact was a successful migration of all filers with no impact to our customers.
DMZ Backup Solution for Differentiated Service – Provided redesign recommendations and managed the deployment of the backup solution for all DMZ environments in Chicago, Charlotte, Hong Kong, and UK. Reduced the cost of backup resources in each area by reducing the number of tape libraries from six to one.
Shared Reporting Environment Design – Provided design recommendations and deployment guidance for shared Actuate reporting. This infrastructure generates over 40,000 reports a day and supports over 40 production applications with uptime availability of greater than 99.5%.
Shared WebMethods Environment Design – Provided design recommendations and deployment stewardship of shared WebMethods Infrastructure. This infrastructure processes over a million transactions a day in support of bond trading and also 19 other production applications utilizing shared infrastructure.
