Role Network Engineer
Project Mobility Support for Broadband Wireless Subscribers
Platforms ASR1K, ASR9K, ISR 2900, ISR 3900, ASR9K, N7K, Wireless LAN Controller,
Access Points RADIUS Server, DHCP Server
Project Description
Proxy Mobile IPv6 protocol is intended for providing network-based IP mobility management support to a mobile node, without requiring the participation of the mobile node in any IP mobility related signaling. The mobility entities in the network will track the mobile node’s movements and will initiate the mobility signaling and set up the required routing state.
Responsibilities:
Installation and configuration of all network elements which includes Access Points, Wireless Lan controller, MAG,LMA and RADIUS
Configuration and spawning the Virtualized VMs (ASR1K,CSR100v,VWLC and AAA) for connected stadium projects
Troubleshooting network problems related to routing, wireless, broadband and mobility
Provisioning and troubleshooting Cisco routers including Nexus 7k, ASR9k and CRS. Configuring Cisco IOS and IOS-XR router platforms and routing protocols like OSPF, BGP and MPLS
Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly challenging problems and compatibility issues
Helping account team to deploy the Wireless networks
Regularly monitoring the network for scalability and performance and Wireless Roaming Issues.
Reviewing Account team Method of procedures
Interacting with multiple teams to provide the right solution to the Customer.
Providing Use Case demos to Marketing and Sales Teams
Review of Requirement analysis from different Customers
Assisting TAC team in providing support to multiple Customers.
Providing mentorship for existing network team members as appropriate.

Role Network Engineer
Project Wired and Wireless Broadband Subscribers
Platform ASR1K, ASR9K, ISR 2900, ISR 3900, Wireless LAN Controller, Access Points
RADIUS Server, DHCP Server
Project Description
BNG is a structured framework in which edge access devices can deliver flexible and scalable services to subscribers. ISG handles Subscriber identification, Service and policy determination, Session policy enforcement and Accounting for access and service usage. In addition, BNG introduces a dynamic element to the provisioning and activation of services through control policies and Change of Authorization (CoA) extensions to the RADIUS protocol
SP Wi-Fi space is becoming hot and Cisco existing and potential customers are providing mobile devices access to internet and mobility service using public hotspots and also trying to leverage their investments in Residential Gateways. Several Service Providers are using architectures where Residential Gateways are being used to forward traffic from Mobile Node to an Aggregation Router where MAG/ISG. Residential Gateway / Customer Premise Equipments (CPE) are configured in bridged mode and forward Ethernet Traffic to Aggregation Node using statically configured GRE tunnels.
Responsibilities:
Installation and configuration of all network elements which includes Access Points, Wireless Lan controller, MAG/BNG,LMA,DHCP Server and RADIUS
Configuring and working on the Virtualized VMs (ASR1K,CSR100v,VWLC and AAA) for connected stadium projects
Troubleshooting network problems related to routing, wireless, broadband and mobility
Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly challenging problems and compatibility issues
Helping account team to validate Use cases in Customer lab
Regularly monitoring the network for scalability performance and Wireless Roaming issues
Reviewing Account team Method of procedures
Assisting the architecture team in designing the Customer network
Interacting with multiple teams to provide the right solution to the Customer.
Providing Use Case demos to Marketing and Sales Teams
Assisting TAC team in providing support to multiple Customers.
