About the client: McDonald's, also known as "Mickey D's", or "McD's, is the world's best known fast-food chain. With its familiar golden arches logo, McDonald's has 33,000 restaurants worldwide serving Big Macs, Chicken McNuggets, salads and French fries. Today, approximately 70% of McDonald's restaurants are operated by independent franchisers.

The Application:

Restaurant File Maintenance (RFM) - RFM is a web based Application, for McDonalds. RFM is divided into two main Modules – Manage Package Generations and POS Layout system. For Package Generation, a periodic batch runs and generates Restaurant Packages, which go to specific restaurants, these packages contain POS Layout (manage buttons), menu items and sets (business rules information), Manage Market setup (Market can be US, UK, Asia etc.) for the specific restaurants. POS layout system manages – User creation, Role creation, Manage Master Menu, Groups and Hierarchy, Production and Presentation Routing in kitchen.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•Verification of the package xml using XML Spy.

•Test case authoring for various business requirements.

•Validating product package using PKG-Comparator & PKG-Validator (*HCL Proprietary tools).

•Performing Sanity, Regression Smoke and DB-Migration Testing in event of any change request.

•Logging bugs in PMSmart.

•Worked in Market Adoption Activitiy.

•Re-verification of fixes released by the developer on the bugs raised and closing them post verification.

•Worked as a DPA of the project

•Defect Triaging and client discussion.
