I use to work in the Social Work and Addiction Department as an Office Secretary III Creating and maintaining Databases for each department, entering data in the R-drive system. In February of 2008 I was promoted to a office secretary III position as the Asst. Warden secretary my responsibility as followed I coordinated all office administrative activities and storing, retrieving, and integrating information for dissemination to staff; I plan and schedule meeting and appointments; manage projects; conduct research; create spreadsheets; compose correspondence, and create presentations, reports, and documents using desktop publishing software and digital graphics. I maintain and examine leased equipment, order supplies, made travel arrangements for the Warden; answer telephones, and transfer to appropriate staff member, meet and greet clients and visitors; maintain hard copy and electronic filing system; coordinate and maintain records for staff office space, phones, parking, company credit cards, and office keys, and responsible for the computer inventory for the whole prison. I arrange conference calls, supervising other clerical staff, reviewed incoming memos, submissions, and reports in order to determine their significance and to plan for their distribution. I also prepare agenda and made arrangements for meetings of committees that we have in the institution. I also conduct research and prepare statistical reports.

January 2008- March 2010 Residential Monitor Crownsville, MD

I worked the weekend shift at the program. My responsibility was to monitor and support clients receiving treatment. Key duties include orienting new clients to the program; conducting “floor” interventions in response to behavioral issues; enhancing motivation for treatment; and driving an agency vehicle to pick up and transport clients. I facilitated house meetings and specialized groups. On a rotating basis, checks security of the building and accounts for the whereabouts of all clients. I took responsibility for all clients as unforeseen situations arise and communicates with primary counselor verbally and through staff log. I also administered medication to clients.
