Senior Manager, Platform Engineering – Quality Assurance and User Acceptance
Responsible for providing quality assurance on WD’s Branded Products, consisting of direct and network attached storage devices, media products, associated content and other devices. Testing focus is usability and functional in orientation and includes UI, API, mobile and web based products.
Specific Accomplishments:
Grew and managed a team of up to 30 platform test engineers and technicians, with a high retention rate.
Implemented User Experience Research into the Design and Development process (using various qualitative methods) that changed the culture at WD to ensure that early customer feedback was essential to the flow of the UI and interaction with the solution overall.
Created a Best-In-Class Beta System, with a 7000 world-wide strong Beta Participant Database, that enables ease of specific recruitment, communication, bug tracking and overall management of the quantitative feedback.
