Automated the process of manually inserting and updating records in the database as per the Excel sheet given by the client including the data and action to perform on the database. Used the MERGE statement to UPSERT the records so as to reduce the execution time of the task from several hours to few minutes and to transform the transaction into 1 batch so as to avoid unnecessary locking of the Database tables.

Developed an utility using C# .Net framework i.e. a Console Application to automate the procedure of checking files in two different directories and populating the Grid with name of missing files and fetching some important details from the database regarding that file which otherwise was done manually on daily basis.
