Accomplishments: Ohler Machine 1996

I designed improved drive and corner rounding sprockets for Houle barn scrapers. These sprockets provided up to 50% additional operation life over OEM components and eliminated breakage failure. The design incorporated a unitized hub and spindle assembly that greatly reduced the labor and costs to replace the sprockets. The spindle was designed to be re-manufactured at a significant operational cost reduction over buying new spindles.

I earned awards including First Place at the State wide level of the Michigan Industrial Education Society student skills competition for a bench vice that I cast from iron and finish machined. 1977
