This position required a substantial amount of travel to facilitate conventions, conferences and in-service presentations for schools and parishes, demonstrating the language arts and religious education materials. I also consulted with pastors, principals, department chairs, and directors of religious education, assisting them in curriculum development and selection of materials. Part of my time was spent in the Chicago office working with clients via phone and e-mail, guiding them in selection and use of material.

Archdiocese of Indianapolis: Director of Religious Education 1996 – 2001
In this position I served a large suburban parish directing all aspects of religious education, children through adult. I also worked with the parish elementary school providing resource information and facilitating retreats, worship services, and instruction. I did regular worship services for children, speaking and providing music as well. I also represented the pastor by speaking at local religious and civic functions. Many times I served by ministering to those in the hospital, the homebound, and those in nursing facilities.

My teaching career began with eight years of secondary school teaching in Indiana and includes teaching traditional and adult students. While teaching at Marion High School, Marion, IN, I developed curriculum for a religious studies course for the school system (Teaching the Bible as Literature). This followed the training at Indiana University (Bloomington) with Dr. James Ackerman and Dr. Thayer Warshaw.
Simultaneously, while teaching full – time, I have continued to teach as an adjunct for Vincennes University for their ABC Builders program. I teach/have taught courses in English Composition, Interpersonal Communication, World Masterpieces, New Testament Studies, and the Bible as Literature for Vincennes University and Taylor University.

As an adjunct professor, I also taught courses for Indiana University in English, communication, and the humanities. This involved teaching at the campuses in Kokomo, Fort Wayne, and Indianapolis.
