EXPERIENCE:
Crown Equipment Corporation NVH Principal Engineer July 2012 - Date Design and construction of a sound and vibration test facility; Gear and gearbox design; Analysis of power train dynamics, including order analysis; Transmission path analysis; Product benchmarking and development of sound quality metrics.
Chrysler Group LLC NVH & Vehicle Dynamics Specialist January-July 2012 Accessory NVH analysis, setting component level and in-vehicle performance targets; order Analysis, transmission path analysis.
Emerson Climate Technologies, Inc., ($4.0B in 201*-****-**** My career at Emerson was a successful evolution from a Senior Project Engineer to Manager or Sound Research applied to in scroll technology. I have supported the development of residential and commercial product platforms. I have managed the corporate laboratory and led our engineers to providing solutions to product groups and customers. I oversaw our laboratories in Europe and Asia, provided expert advice and training.
2008-2012: Research Manager, Sound Technology
Reporting to the VP of Research, I joined efforts with managers in other disciplines to study new concepts and worked on better understanding the dynamic behavior of scroll compressors, with reference to their sound and vibration performance. 2002-2008: Global Manager, Sound and Vibration Laboratories I led a team of 6 PhDs, 2-Masters engineers and a crew of 12 technicians at the corporate sound and vibration laboratory. Our role was to support the A/C and refrigeration product engineering groups in new product development and design retrofits for cost reduction, monitor production, provide expert assistance to OEM system design, develop standards and test procedures for other laboratories in Europe and Asia.
1999-2002: Senior Lead Engineer
I have continued my engineering activities with additional responsibilities. I worked on a commercial product with carrier, a residential platform with Trane, Rheem and MELCO. I provided technical training to new engineers and customers.
1996-98: Senior Project Engineer
I was responsible for the sound and vibration design aspect of two scroll product platforms (structural dynamics of new designs and retrofits for cost reduction) and reliability improvement); production quality monitoring (statistical process control) and plant support (machining and assembly issues). Prior experience includes:
Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, University of Cincinnati, Ohio
Senior Acoustical Consultant, Vibranalysis Engineering Corporation, Houston, Texas. Responsible for analyzing and providing engineering solutions for environmental and industrial noise and vibration problems; establishing site monitoring programs and performing environmental noise and vibration impact analyses and preventive maintenance of rotating machinery; and providing recommendations and performance specifications to reduce noise and vibration levels to safe levels.
Senior Engineering Analyst; Randorff and Associates, Inc., Houston, Texas; Responsible for the industrial and environmental noise and vibration section. Applications included the US Highway Administration
(FHWA), paper and oil industry, architectural acoustics and design of public address system for safety. M Eur Ing Macinissa Mézache, Ph D 217 W. Franklin Street, Troy, Ohio 45373 - 937-***-**** - *********@*****.***. com
Project Engineer; ENCEPT, a Division of Gulf Interstate Engineering Company; Houston, Texas. Acoustical design of gas compressor stations.
Teaching Fellow, College of Engineering, University of Houston, Houston, Texas. Taught machine design, and vibration courses.
Lecturer, College of Technology, University of Houston, Houston, Texas. Taught transistor circuit theory and digital electronics.
Assistant Professor; Institut National de Génie Mécanique, Boumerdès, Algeria.
Consulting Engineer; Turbo-Jet Test Facility, Air Algérie; Responsible for reviewing the vendor’s
(General Electric) design and modifying the acoustical specifications of a new turbo-jet test facility.
Consulting Engineer; American Soybean Association, Madrid, Spain; Feasibility studies for new soybean processing plants.
