Maintain and repair all computers and computer related equipment for the company, both in the office setting as well as in the field as needed. Troubleshoot problematic issues as pertaining to the needed hardware and software for Nabors Drilling USA employees in a prioritized manner. Asset recovery and redistribution according to policies set forth by Human Resources and supervisory staff. Install hardware and software according to the needs of other employees and their job functions and train employees in their use. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, applications and operating systems manually and remotely. Inventory assessment, allocation, and distribution are necessary for this position also. The programs mostly used are Citrix, MS Office Suite, MS Exchange Server (for email), and many other Oil and Gas Industry related applications that are used in a Windows based environment. Also, responsible for configuring networks in offices and onsite at rigs and compressor stations. Active Directory and Windows Server 2012 skills are highly utilized for this job as well. Align satellites for optimal signal to allow for LAN and WAN networks to be used at remote oil drilling sites without allowing drilling operations be affected negatively. Make Ethernet cables and coaxial cables when needed for office and rig networks. This position is responsible for hardware/software troubleshooting, fixing and installation. This position also dealt with Cell Phone/Tablet assistance, AV/Conference Room assistance, and some Telecoms installation and configuration. Printers were also installed and configured. We have just changed from using TCP/IP configuration to Print Server configuration for all printers within the entire company. We work mostly with Microsoft packages.
