SUMMARY

I am applying for a position as a freelance reporter/content writer. Writing has always been a passion of mine and I can write with a flare that engages audiences. I worked as a registered nurse for 25 years and have gleaned information in a multitude of areas, including public interest. I have had one poem published and wrote articles for New Zion Baptist Church and Fairview Baptist Church, all of which were published in the Falmouth Outlook. Although my writing experience has been limited, as a nurse I was required to provide documentation on every move that I made. This has given me added skills with the assessment of a situation and transforming it into written documentation

Languages

I am skilled in both spoken and written word. I am an assistant Pastor at Fairview Baptist Church and have no qualms about speaking in public, or going into a situation on a dry run and using the information to write an article

I am comfortable using Microsoft word, excel, and am currently hoping to become efficient with WordPress

EXPERIENCE

1988-2005

Registered Nurse, The Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati, Hospice of Hope, Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville Community College St. Luke East and West,

I cared for patients in the critical care arena, assessing, and documenting that care. I provided palliative care in a terminal setting in patient homes, taught clinical nursing skills in a Community College setting, provided dialysis, adolescent psychology, and labor and delivery.
