Yard check

Communicate with vendors

Delegate duties for mechanics

Communicate with drivers regarding fleet repairs and concerns

Discuss maintenance concerns with management.

Building and yard maintenance

Accident and incident reports regarding fleet and recommendations for any potential litigations

Driving to scene when possible to investigate take pictures and add support for on scene drivers/employee.

Coordinate driver review meetings with worker, union and management.

Deal with any emergency or security alarm issues including being first call management member for CFF/CDI.

Respond to employee injuries and complete all incident and WSIB reports with regards to workers (Meetings, recommendations, etc.)

Ensure all forms regarding workplace injuries are complete and loss time is nil at all possible times with RTW being priority.

Train and hire new drivers and maintenance staff on all company policies including C-TPAT and sign off on all policies for files.

Coordinate any system checks regarding security fire building etc.

Snow removal and coordination of salting ensuring all is approved.

Train all dock workers as certified forklift operators including training staff to train as well if necessary.

Communicate with branches nationally regarding all Health and Safety issues

Inspect and sign off on all building, fleet and outside worker weekly invoices

Communicate all accidents nationally with all branches and managers instruct on procedures and sign off and approve/deny all claims including communicating with vendors, accident 3rd party insurance companies etc.

Responsible for building and fleet budget.

Respond to all safety issues within 20 days communicating with management and workers.
