• Paving Rehabilitation Highway 101, PM 45 to PM 68, Humboldt County, 1.2 million.
• Culvert replacement (12) from 24 to 51 SR 254, Humboldt County, 1.8 million.
• Confusion Hill Bridge realignment PM. 99, to PM 104, work with PG&E,
AT&T Fiber Optics and county representatives to include all the project requirements within CALTRANS R/W, 2.6 million.
Transportation Engineer Civil - (2007 –2012). CALTRANS District 1. Advance Planning.
Responsible for Project Design Team coordination, field trips, data collection and final Project presentation and submittal.
Project Study Report, PSR, project report preparation for roadway improvements, traffic survey planning, setup, oversight, traffic forecasting, traffic analysis, highway/roadway upgrade to incorporate 20 year traffic projections, conceptual formulation, design oversight and review.
Meet with other CALTRANS support units, stake holders, government agencies and public service representatives.
Use of Microstation, Autocadd, survey and design software for design preparation.
Prepare cost estimates of the alternatives and project schedule.
Projects:
Side hill Viaduct on highway 96 at Hoopa. New traffic pattern.
Bridge Vertical Clearance Project on highway 101, different locations from PM 48 to 68 in Humboldt County. Traffic impact new acceleration lanes.
Four bridges replacement and new traffic analysis for addition of extra lanes, and wider shoulders on Route 1 in Fort Bragg.
Traffic analysis and traffic impact report for the new Walmart retail store on Highway 101, Crescent City, Del Norte County.
New acceleration lanes and upgrade design of the highway101 and highway 299 interchange in Eureka.
Project Manager Representative - (2005 –2007). EDAW INC. Capital Improvements Projects for the City of Miami Beach, Florida
Responsible for the project progress control, weekly meeting with City officials, City engineers, contractor, and design team. Record control, schedule update, pay estimate review and approval.

Assistant Project Manager - (2000-2004), California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS). Carquinez Bridge, District 4 Oakland, California.
Manage the District 4 operations involved in the Carquinez bridge retrofit construction project. Coordinate work between the contractor and the district and central office inspection staff. Attend weekly meetings with the contractor, project manager and the design team. Responsible for project progress control, update the project schedule, review and approved the project monthly pay estimate, record control using e-peg. Coordinate the review and answer to RFI’s, shop drawings and transmittals between the contractor, CALTRANS and the design team.

Transportation and Highway Design
Specialize in roadway design. Conduct project scoping, field surveys, and design of roadway alignment. Prepare design process schedule and preliminary cost estimate. Prepare and submit preliminary project scope for environmental impact study. Work closely with other functional divisions within CALTRANS as part of the engineer rotation program. Gained considerable knowledge of overall agency functions and established agency-wide relationships and contacts.

Construction Management, a six building development. The overall schedule had more than 1,300 activities and employed more than 300 people. It involved a subcontractor selection process. Subcontractors bi-weekly progress status review and schedule progress. Attend weekly meetings with owner, city government officials and the design team. Review monthly pay estimate. Weekly review of RFI’s and shop drawings. Review as built drawings with architects and project technical inspectors.
Office Engineer -(1992 –1994), Kasler Corporation - Denver International Airport, Denver, CO.
Project involved construction of taxiways, cargo and general aviation aprons. Monitor construction progress. Ensured all work adhered to contract plans and specifications. Arrange for submission of construction reports, and reviewed reports for adequacy and accuracy of services performed. Reviewed materials laboratory reports and approved or denied acceptance based on performance. Investigated and resolved field issues between airport authority personnel, subcontractors, and inspectors. Trained newly hired inspectors.
