PROFILE

It is time for a professional change! Moving forward I wish to integrate my engineering / business acumen with a well-rounded biology / biochemistry background. Perpetual learning and inquiry is a personal forte’ that I hope to apply to this profession. It is within my capacity to handle accession, tissue and cytology specimen processing, embedding and frozen or paraffin sectioning. Staining, labeling, filing in compliance with regulatory and department standards. I have basic knowledge of protein synthesis and immunology as well. As a professional team member, I am open-minded to new techniques and computer skills.

Initiated the availability of immunoperoxidase and histochemical techniques.

Assisted architects and engineers with design of a new morgue to meet NIOSH, OSHA, IBC and selected equipment parameters.

Presented in-service lectures for non-lab departments regarding specimen handling of frozen sections, bone marrow biopsies and body fluids.

Actively encouraged staff techs to attend new product workshops and NSH meetings.
