Mini Project Title : Design and fabrication of flapping wing UAV. Degree Project Title : Optimizing the combustion efficiency of Ramjet engine with bluff body flame stabilizer.

Project Description : Proliferation of ramjet engine concepts are identified and studied in sufficient detail. Efficient method for flame stabilization and its characteristics are studied. The problem of attaining the high combustion efficiency in subsonic combustor of the ramjet engine has led to the rather extensive studies of the processes involved in stabilizing flames on bluff bodies. One of the results of these studies was to indicate that the flame stabilization mechanism. Also air-fuel mixture for which the maximum velocity of the working fluid i.e., hold by stabilizer depends upon the stoichiometric value of the air-fuel mixture, hence sustainable lean mixture valve is chosen. Change in flow of the working fluid is investigated through the software studies of the flame front near the flame holder. A method named bluff body flame stabilization is used in this project to increase the efficiency of subsonic combustion ramjet engine. The approximate values of pressure ratios are chosen and the behaviour of the flame stabilizer and the combustor is studied and the results are analysed both theoretically and numerically.
