Achievements [Structural Project Engineer, NSF]

• For Shams Power Plant Pipe Racks, solved major problem with structural connections by working under pressure to introduce solution to change from full penetration welds to fillet welds in fabrication shop, thus avoiding significant non compliance penalty by saving time, also reduced the cost of the project, ~5%

• For Sousse power plant project, a problem was found at the site at the erection stage of the plant, and by going to Tunisia for a site investigation, found the root cause was the shipping, which was not in our company’s scope of work. I raised quality reports to our higher management, and saved the company from a non compliance penalty and having to re fabricate a CAD 1 million+ structure

• For Ezz Flat Steel Company, with a very tight timeline to finish a 9000 Tonne project, I succeeded to manage our work in the technical office and coordinate with the designer to finalize all the approvals in 50% of the expected time by working under pressure and overtime, so the fabrication shop had enough time to fabricate Technical Office Engineer, NSF (National Steel Fabrication Co.)
