Waiver Service Provider, B2H Program: Abbott House 2010-present. Improve the adjustment of children in foster care who experience emotional difficulties, developmental disabilities, and medical frailties. Both children and their families receive additional services that improve their health and well-being, support permanency planning, and reduce the need for more restrictive placements. These services are provided in the least restrictive, most home-like setting possible, involving the individuals in the child’s care giving network whenever appropriate––foster family, birth family, and adoptive family members.

Early Intervention Service Coordinator: ESS 2005 Maintained contact with EI families who had infants aged zero to three years with developmental and medical delays and illnesses, conducted interview with families and infants, consulted with therapists regarding infants, attended IFSP ( Individualized Family Service Plan) interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure infants received services needed to address developmental needs and delays, assisted families through initial and ongoing IFSP process, ensured appropriate transition for children turning three who continued to have developmental and medical needs to transition to CPSE program (Committee on Preschool Special Education) for children aged 3 to 5 years with developmental delays.

Provided sex education and discussion with ESS group home adolescents who were often abused or neglected physically or sexually or had psychiatric and psychological problems related to family dysfunction.
