GENERAL MANAGER

P&L / Lean / Sales / Policy Deployment / Strategic Planning / Best Practices / Multi-Plant Manufacturing Cost / Kaizen / Design Engineering / Continuous Improvement / Global Supply Chain / Cycle Time Reduction / Kanban

I have a strong track record of containing costs while increasing profitability and customer satisfaction. My background ranges from multi-billion dollar organizations to smaller companies. I use Lean manufacturing principles and skills (TPS) in maximizing employee productivity to increase profit. My core strengths include:

Establishing continuous improvement disciplines, enhancing safety / quality / delivery / cost

Planning and executing short and long term business plans

Increasing efficiency and productivity through simple performance metrics

Effective management of customer and employee relationships through communication and recognition

Providing goal setting and management to achieve corporate objectives

My credentials include an IMBA Certificate from the University of South Carolina, as well as an APICS Certificate. Additionally, my colleagues say that I have dynamic leadership skills combined with excellent team building and problem solving talents. I am capable of rapidly synthesizing information and making timely, high-quality decisions.

Selected Accomplishments

Surpassed industry leaders. Jackson’s product offering was out of date and had limited opportunities for growth. Developed / implemented new technology to address larger volume products in meeting industry requirements and customer needs. Reduced water consumption to 50% less than the industry leader, generating superior margins.

Slashed lead times. Weak material system prevented Belshaw from meeting delivery commitments. Implemented replenishment system, changed assembly to Flow Line and moved component parts to the point of use. Reduced lead times for lower volume units from three to one week. Increased on-time delivery from 60% to 95%+.

Boosted productivity. Ice-O-Matic was not breaking even due to high cost of manufacturing the product. Introduced regular Kaizens to eliminate waste in each process, including sheet metal, evaporator manufacturing and assembly. Productivity average increased 8% per year and significant gains in Quality / Delivery were realized.

Relocated operations from one state to another quickly and efficiently. American Sigma’s operations moved into the Hach Company in Loveland, Colorado. Trained an hourly workforce in CO to replace employees in the NY factory that was closing. Completed training and moved in six months.
