All maintenance and support, analysis, coding, unit testing, system testing, code integrity and 24 hour on-call support of each system.

Performed maintenance support and enhancements of Asset Depreciation system consisting of COBOL, DB2, and CLIST.

Performed maintenance support and enhancements of Budgeting system consisting of COBOL, DB2, SQL, and CLIST. The support on this system was mostly writing COBOL programs which included embedded SQL for selecting and formatting the data for special year end processing of budget items for each department.

Performed maintenance support and enhancements of the Electronic Payment System (EDI) consisting of COBOL, PEP+, VSAM, and SQL. This system required close observation when bank deposits were transferred. COBOL programs were used to manipulate and report the information and then passed files to a server using TCIP scripts and then passed on to the banks server. Safeguard enhancements were built in to contact the support person via email when a problem was detected.

Participated in the year 2000 code conversion, testing, and production installation for the Corporate Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Accounts Payable, and Asset Depreciation systems. This project included the development of “Date Functions” which were incorporated into the current code rather than changing the current date usages. This technique was very successful and reduced our conversion time drastically. Processing interruption risk was also lessened because each program became independent of the other using the functions.

Served on a team of supervisor and project leaders assigned the task of developing a test environment for year 2000 changes. The system was designed and developed to prevent interruption of production processing while presenting all of the challenges of a production environment. This included supplying production like data for realistic testing.

Supervised the design and development of a mock disaster recovery process for the Corporate Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Accounts Payable, and Asset Depreciation systems. The process included recovery of system software, program recover, data recovery and actual processing comparisons after recovery.

Project Leader responsible for all of the financial installed systems for the corporate offices and all remote locations including London.

Developed, programmed, installed, and maintained a distributed Accounts Payable system corporate wide using VSAM, CICS, and COBOL.

Performed maintenance support of Asset Depreciation system consisting of DB2, COBOL, and EASYTRIEVE.

Performed maintenance support of Voucher Accounting system consisting of VSAM, COBOL, and EASYTRIEVE.

Converted all above systems from JES2 to JES3.

Successfully converted the Voucher Accounting System from Getty into the Texaco Financial Reporting System.

Assisted in the study, planning, and conversion of the Getty Accounts Payable system. Converted from the IBM 3790 distributed system to CICS system.

Personally responsible for installing the new CICS system in all remote Getty locations.
