U.S.C.G Chief Engineer aboard various ocean going vessels. Work for the US governments on the research

vessels My duty as a Chief engineer aboard these vessel included working on power generations systems trouble shooting and repair them the vessel diesel engines which varies from Detriot,Cats,EMD AlCo. The work included repair and pm. M these type of diesel engines. My work also included the vessels HVAC system there repair and maintains also to include the vessel fresh water making system there repair and up keep as well. The vessel logs, repair and maintains request, supply requests. And engine room personal assigned to me to work in the engine room there training and supervision. I was also responsible for various type of above deck equipment but not limited to pumping equipment cranes of various sizes up 20 ton lift..The vessels electrical systems there upkeep and maintained. I also was in charge the vessels pms I was in charge of the vessel loading and off loading of P.O.L. products and off loading of the hazmat materials to there proper shore side areas for disposal. Have held a secret security clearance. I have worked for 10 years in the Middle East as a power generation mechanic

.and plant operator. I have worked with the local nationals in training them in all aspect of generator maintenance and

operation. The generator units ranged from 5 kw to 1.5 megawatt commercial units. I have a OSHA 30 cert in

building trades. I hold certificate from the U.S Army heavy equipment repair courses. I severed in Vietnam in the medical field

1969-1970.I have been awarded the ARCOM medal for outstanding service under fire while in Vietnam. I have had the

proud honor to work with our special forces at FOB bases in Afghanistan and at our air force base in Qatar as well as in

Iraq. As well as Afghanistan Setting up power generation plants at various classified sites My work as a U.S.C.G chief engineer aboard ocean

going vessel consisted of the responsibility of the engine room crew of at least 10 multi nationals workers. The

My job duties were the up keep of the vessel engine room and the management of the 10 man engine room crew assigned to me. The work included the maintains of the vessel power generation systems ranging from 100 kw to 1 megawatt electrical systems. There pms repair and maintains the vessel main engine systems, pumping systems receiving of ships stores and supplies inventory of the engine supplies.Recieving of the P.O.L and discharging the hazmat waste to proper shore side location for there proper disposal.. the ordering of and future repairs that could not be made at sea.
