MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Perform repair work on vehicles such as breakdowns, malfunctions and emergency roadside repair in a safe, efficient, and quality manner

Perform operation test prior to repairs to verify complaint; diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturers specifications including engines, transmissions, clutches, suspension, steering, fuel and ignition (gas and diesel), electrical systems, brakes, hydraulics and any other miscellaneous repairs.

Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize the safety, productivity, and life of the unit.

Perform preventive maintenance on trucks such as fluid changes, lubrications, safety inspections, and brake repairs; perform preventive maintenance on off-road equipment such as lubrications, adjustments, cutting tip replacements, and safety inspections.

Perform maintenance and repair welding on equipment; fabricate parts as required including any design work needed.

Oversee automotive mechanics in maintenance, servicing and repair of vehicles and/or fleet vehicles.

Evaluate and perform troubleshooting on GSE/Vehicles recommending required repair action.

Prepare GSE/Vehicles for storage, shipment, and mobility deployment.

Maintain equipment records, vehicle forms, and document maintenance actions.

Check batteries on GSE/Vehicles for serviceability and performs preventative maintenance; check GSE external fuel and grounding systems for serviceability and performs preventative maintenance.

Remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and reinstall malfunctioning components.

Operate, clean, inspect, and service GSE towing vehicles.

Provide pick-up and delivery service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
