Android Developer Intern

Developed Android application using Eclipse IDE, SQLite, JAVA, XML, Android SDK and ADT plug-in.

Worked on Basic Android Framework such as Activity, Content Providers, Broadcast Receiver and Services

Implemented functionality based on the business requirements.

Integrated Google Maps into the application using Google Android location-based APIs to display addresses and locations and used GPS provider to access location data.

Academic Project

Restaurant Finder and Booking App 2012-2013

Led a team of three and acted as the lead programmer for a restaurant finder android app.

The app allows restaurants to publish how many tables are free. Customers can search for restaurants based on location and cuisine and can reserve tables via the booking module in the app.

The server side was based on EJBs and the ORM used was Eclipse Link. The client side was design using native Android.

Extra Curriculum Activities

President of Indian Dance Organization at University of Illinois Springfield, IL and trained in classical dance Bharatnatyam for 7 yrs.

Attended university workshop on Robotics and also participated in an interactive PC Assembling Workshop - created a wired robot during school year 2010.
