The Stamford Chamber of Commerce is the largest city chamber of commerce in the state of Connecticut. Its membership includes more than 1,300 businesses ranging from the top US and International Corporate headquarters to the small business owner. During 20+ years of Chamber experience, have advanced from commission-driven membership sales to #2 position in organization. An excellent presenter and communicator in dealing with an economically diverse membership base.
Serving as the face of the chamber of commerce, actively participates in community events, networking with members, potential members and the general public.
Develop and manage more than 60 events annually. Programs include monthly networking events, seminars/workshops, trade shows, membership drives and community-wide signature events. Manage volunteers as assigned to events and programs.
Manage volunteer committees to develop new events and marketing tools to increase membership and operating income.
Further the economic stability of the organization by developing comprehensive marketing and communications plans for potential sponsors. Also attend non-Chamber events to network with and develop contact with decision-makers and professionals for potential sponsorships.
Plan and direct activities associated with membership campaigns to solicit new companies to make financial and business commitment to the chamber.
Develop editorial content for Chamber publications. Prepare newsworthy communications and publicity for organization.
Direct effort of Education Committee to facilitate relationships between the Stamford Public Schools and business community in order to enhance and enrich the educational experiences of Stamford’s school-age children.
