GSD Junk Hauling is a full service junk removal company that serves the north Alabama area. As manufacturing supervisor for Sanmina-SCI’s medical division I was responsible for the day to day operations of the 2nd shift in the box build area. During one of the three years I had to manage ~110 employees and was responsible for managing the operations of four departments (SMT, hand load, in-circuit test/functional test, and box build) on the 2nd shift. My normal responsibility was for the operations of the box build department and I normally had ~ 50 employees. During the time I was supervisor in the box build area the department implemented lean manufacturing principles. I was also responsible for hiring, training, motivating, giving performance evaluations/pay raises, giving corrective actions, and recommending temporary employees for full time employment.

I had collateral duties on the 2nd shift as a first aid responder, HAZMAT team member, and I was in charge of the safety of the facility/personnel and point of contact at night in case of inclement weather, fires, etc.

Sanmina-SCI is an electronic manufacturing services contractor.
