MAIN PROJECT:
Title : Study of Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics over a Circular Cylinder in a Trapezoidal Lid Driven Cavity
Duration : 06 months

Description :
The present project deals with the flow behavior in a trapezoidal lid driven cavity with moving top wall, which has a bluff body in centered has been observed.
And it also includes evaluation of heat transfer coefficient where heat transfer occurs from bluff body to its surroundings by conduction along with convection process. Consider that here the flow is in steady state.
This case is solved by CFD technique by using ANSYS FLUENT software which uses GAMBIT as pre-processor to define the problem.
The governing differential equations have been solved over the following ranges of conditions: Reynolds number, 1 Re 40, Prandtl number, 0.7 Pr 100, Blockage ratio, 1/2 β 1/6.
In this, the velocity and temperature distributions are visualized with the help of streamline and isotherm contours.
