To whom it may concern:
Growing up in the small Texas town of Fayetteville, I was brought up by old school work ethics and country values such as family, hard work, and God. I learned to work hard with my Grandfather who had a “no nonsense” attitude when it came to farming, hauling hay, and all aspects of ranching. After High School I took that same work ethic to Houston and began my journey in the oil field industry.
My first job experience came in a friend’s Father’s machine shop where I started at the bottom as a shaving puller to operator of all size turret lathes and Bullard’s within a few months. A couple years later I advanced to Night Shift Foreman, and then to Day Shift as Plant Manager. The company later bought property and expanded at a fast pace as the number of employees went from 20 to 80. I had to learn quickly and gained knowledge from good and bad experiences at the workplace.
Later on I opened my own business “K+L Machine”. That lasted 10 years and then went back into Inspection after the oil industry slowed down. I continued to grow in this industry and experience the ups and downs within each company due to the fluctuation of the economy within the oil field. Working for myself taught me to do everything from the ground up in all aspects of operating your own business. It has also taught me to respect and appreciate fellow coworkers in the work place. I have learned to treat others how I want to be treated, and it seems to be a winning formula, even in high stress situations.
In closing, I am thrilled to have an opportunity to join and grow with a new company. I appreciate your consideration and look forward to hearing back from you. Feel free to contact me any time at ********.*****@*****.*** or at my cellular device 832-***-****.
Sincerely,
David Lee Kulhanek
