* Supported a material increase in back end vendor support dollars.

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT: Corporate Procurement & Supply Chain

Sears Canada, Toronto 2008-2011

As a strategic leader and officer of the corporation, guided the entire logistics, inventory and purchasing network domestically and abroad with an operating budget in excess of 100 MM, and an associate base of approximately 3000 staff. The role required complete managerial leadership in a complex environment inclusive of strategic planning, budgeting, staff development, innovation and operational execution. In addition, was fully accountable for EBITDA for 6 major merchandise and specialty services categories. A critical role was balance sheet ownership in net working capital investment for inventory and capital structure. Contributions were made during this time frame highlighted by:

* Improved overall cost structure of by approximately 15 % in supply chain in a period of declining volumes thru continued process improvement, system leverage and surgical payroll and people management.

* Improvement in productivity in large internal trucking fleet with intelligent fleet management, growth in 3rd part client base and processes.

* Dramatic advancements in inventory management productivity through industry leading allocation methods, creative liquidation tactics, structured documented processes and the introduction of the ORACLE markdown optimization tool. This was cited as an important driver of fiscal results in each year.

* Margin and profit contribution growth in responsible areas.

* Growth in margin driving international purchases by 10 % while at the same time installing industry leading solid quality, safety and workplace standards.

* Successful short term replacement for CIO among other leadership roles. * Overall key contributor to record breaking corporate EBITDA.

VICE PRESIDENT: Procurement and Specialty Businesses

Sears Canada, Toronto 2001-2008

Overall functional leadership responsibility for not for resale purchases, direct import purchases, merchandise business processes, inventory and licensed / food. A period of rapid evolution included some of :

* Double digit increase in international merchandise purchases with up to 500 bpts margin increase in the respective categories..

* Development and expansion of a complete framework and technology for external bids, operating expense control and opportunities. This was a highly successful program driving out thousands of non-qualified suppliers and decreasing operating expense and capital spend inclusive of many functional buys (i.e. marketing, delivery) that were historically exempt.

* Innovative introduction and profitable management growth in a large group of businesses across retail stores and catalogue businesses creating substantive company leading EBITDA contribution with zero working capital.

* Mentorship and supply of a number of senior future industry leaders.

NATIONAL FINANCIAL MANAGER, MERCHANDISING AND MARKETING

Sears Canada 1994-2001

Provided financial leadership and support for entire merchandising and marketing environment through a team of 40 dedicated accounting and broad based business professionals.

* Consistent support of executed operating budgets better than planned.

* Construction, oversight and leadership with the COO of a corporate capital oversight committee during a period of rapid growth. This included approval of all material financial business cases which greatly enhanced decision making.

* Financial leadership and approvals during a period of rapid change in inventory processes driving 52% uplift in turnover in the elimination of 30 MM in future contractual obligations.

* Installed margin guidelines and processes driving significant long term improvement recognized as one of 1995’s “Best Management Associates”.

* Co-lead on the successful financial legacy replacement in 1999/2000.
