Team Leader/ Operator 2011 – 2015
Boosted efficiency from 39% to almost 60%. The main thrust of this improvement was achieved by basic trouble- shooting of the machinery, training/ retraining operators and improving the recording of downtime (thereby focusing efforts to reduce/ eliminate downtime).
Prior to the Team Leader role I operated various welding machines and performed weld repairs.

• Improved efficiency on twinscrew and Banbury extruders. Most improvements were in the range of 5-10%, some were considerably higher (PE process aid masterbatch boosted by 50%)

•Performed a wide range of on-line QC tests, including MFI/MVR, ash (filler content), dispersion, NIR and FTIR, adjusting formulae for colour consistency, for 7 extruders.
•Isolated reject material quickly and efficiently, to enable the material to be reworked throughout the rest of the run or, in extreme cases, to be re-run or even quarantined.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
Played competitive rugby for many years and former member of Torfaen Athletics Club.
